Bettina Perut (Rome, 1970) and Iván Osnovikoff (Puerto Montt, 1966) are a Chilean documentary duo known for their ability to explore the complexities of the human condition and its surroundings with a unique and provocative perspective.

They met in 1997 while working on the production of Martín Vargas from Chile (2000), and have since continued collaborating in the direction and production of their documentary feature films.

They have created works that navigate between the intimate and the universal, portraying themes as diverse as Chilean identity, political history, and the environment. Their style blends humor, rawness, and visual poetry, and their films have received numerous international awards, establishing them as influential figures in documentary cinema.

Their experimental approach and boldness in tackling controversial topics position them as innovators in the cinematic landscape. Each film they create is a journey into the unknown, inviting the viewer to reflect on the world around them—and on themselves.

They are members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Chilean Film Academy. Their works have been exhibited at MoMA, Lincoln Center, Centre Pompidou, and at festivals such as IDFA, Karlovy Vary, Locarno, Hot Docs, Visions du Réel, Guadalajara, Cartagena, Warsaw, Hong Kong, and Jeon Ju.
